Your agency changes the account's brand safety defaults and sends a screenshot. Existing ads continue running. The agency means the default has been saved; your team understands that every relevant ad group now follows it. Those are different completion claims.

For an international brand producing content with Chinese partners, the useful acceptance unit is the actual delivery object. Which groups are running, which are about to launch, and which dormant groups will be reactivated?

A public resource center is not a settings rollout

TikTok's October 28, 2026 announcement introduced its public Brand Safety Center and accompanying resources. Do not confuse that destination with the Brand Safety Hub configuration inside Ads Manager, or infer that the announcement updated existing campaigns.

The current Hub help page, marked updated June 2026, says new account-level controls do not affect historical ad groups and ad group settings can override account-level control. It also describes objective coverage and availability limits. These are current operating details, not new capabilities established by the October announcement.

The Inventory Filter help page, updated April 2025, also says exclusions are not guaranteed. Checking selected settings and checking actual delivery therefore remain distinct tasks. All three sources were verified October 29, 2026.

The ONCE coverage review

This proposed coordination method is not a new platform feature or a deployed ONCE monitoring service. Have an authorized operator list the groups within the current assignment. No personal audience data is needed for that inventory.

ObjectAssumption to avoidConfirmation to obtain
Future ad groupsEvery objective necessarily uses this account preferenceSupported and covered objective, plus actual saved group settings
Existing groupsChanging the account updated all ongoing deliveryCurrent group-level values and required changes
Approved exceptionsA different setting must be an operator errorReason, approver, period and review arrangement

Record group ID, market, objective, operating status, intended setting, observed setting, reviewer and review time. Useful internal statuses include matched, approved exception, unchecked and change required. These are suggested management terms, not claimed native platform statuses.

If a control is unavailable or an objective or placement is outside the actual supported scope, flag it for an operating decision. Do not translate a visible account option into a claim that an unsupported group is protected.

Review the old groups you will actually use

Start with ongoing delivery and the objects planned for activation. An assignment does not need to reopen every finished historical campaign. A paused group scheduled to return should be reviewed before its restart; previous use does not establish alignment with today's preferences.

Review a saved group created through duplication as well. This article does not predict inheritance for every duplication route. Inspect the current object, consult applicable documentation and ask the platform where necessary. A source-group name is not a settings record for its copy.

Keep justified differences visible

A brand may approve different suitability preferences for different markets or campaigns. Check whether a difference is intentional before overwriting it. Do not standardize everything merely to make a spreadsheet green, or preserve an undocumented discrepancy forever as precedent.

The brand owns the preference decision; the authorized media operator configures and evaluates it. A production partner can explain a film's claims, tone and intended markets. It should not certify backend coverage or promise risk-free delivery.

A film problem or a configuration problem?

Imagine an overseas homeware brand using China-produced creative across an awareness campaign and a product-visit campaign. Its agency changes an account default, then supplies only one account screenshot. The brand asks the production company to re-edit all films in response to a concern about adjacent content.

First identify the failure being addressed. If the films remain accurate and the desired change concerns delivery controls, have the operator review the relevant groups. Different music or an end card does not establish that media settings changed. If the creative tone itself no longer fits the brand's direction, commission that adaptation separately.

This is an invented coordination example. It does not assert which control applies to any particular objective. Its point is responsibility: an operating discrepancy, a creative discrepancy and a brand preference decision need different owners.

Accept the work in two stages

First, an authorized operator verifies the saved configuration on the relevant objects. Necessary records should identify the account, group, objective and review date. An untraceable screenshot cannot establish completion for an entire batch. Keep the record proportionate and avoid unrelated account data or shared login credentials.

Second, examine actual operation using available platform reporting, verification services or issue feedback. A clean sample does not prove all impressions were suitable. An unsuitable adjacency also does not identify the failed setting solely from the video file. Record the time, delivery object and available evidence, then investigate and act within authorized scope.

Configuration consistency is not delivery performance. A platform-wide safety figure cannot certify the result of this group. Where reporting is unavailable, state the limitation rather than turning “not observed” into “cannot happen.”

Buy a defined review, not a reassuring screenshot

An operating assignment can specify the covered objects, discrepancies resolved, exceptions approved and completion records. Define scope through accounts, relevant groups, objectives, markets and follow-up work. A new market or a returning campaign may create additional tasks.

Check existing service obligations before paying again for the same review under a new audit label. Additional independent verification, ongoing monitoring or new creative adaptation should have explicit scope and fees; none should be silently assumed part of every basic package.

For ONCE's long-term service design, the useful record connects creative versions, delivery objects and responsible owners. It may make production-media collaboration clearer. It does not establish that ONCE currently operates client ad accounts or has achieved a margin improvement.

Explore ONCE's video marketing articles for commercial planning and production insights for creative scope. Before accepting “the account is updated,” ask which relevant groups have actually been checked.
