Case overview · OVERVIEW

A narrative smartphone launch TVC follows a young person through work, retail activity, cycling, urban movement and evening time with friends, integrating product visibility naturally into an energetic city lifestyle story for Generation Z.

This narrative TVC for a new smartphone does not begin with an abstract slogan. Instead, it places young people’s work, travel and friendships within one continuous urban-life story. The images show the phone being used to record gifts and people, the bustle of a shop and workbench, cycling and movement through the streets, and time spent together after returning indoors at night. The product is integrated into what the characters are already doing, giving the story more of a lived-in quality than a simple list of features. For 3C consumer electronics advertising, this is a narrative approach in which character action carries product exposure.

Establishing the Story Through the Character’s Working State

The opening shows a young person raising a phone, with the camera placing his line of sight, hand movements and a gift or bouquet in the foreground within the same composition. The scene then moves into a shop, where the character operates, prepares stock and communicates with others. Friends and customers bring an authentic working rhythm to the space. Rather than cutting first to isolated product close-ups, the advertisement lets the phone participate in observing, recording and staying in touch, allowing viewers to notice the character before gradually noticing the product.

The Shop, Streets and Cycling Form a Life Path

The middle section shifts between an indoor workbench, the shop and the streets, as the character moves from serving others to heading out by bicycle. The phone remains connected to his actions throughout. Cycling shots open up the urban space, with the blue body, handlebars, rear-view mirror and the character’s line of sight forming a clear visual relationship. Information appearing in the subtitles, such as “Sky Communications System 2.0,” is understood as on-screen text from the film and is not extended into unverified performance claims. This route gives the smartphone product film a clear narrative progression.

Returning from Information Screens to Friends and Everyday Life

The latter part returns indoors, where the character continues preparing food, organizing belongings or spending time with friends. The working state established earlier is brought back into the everyday setting. The camera shifts between hands, the phone, the tabletop and facial expressions, keeping product exposure aligned with the emotional rhythm. From a creative director’s perspective, the film is not simply about “showing a phone”; it makes the product a natural visual cue as young characters solve problems, move around and stay connected.

Retaining Scenario-Based Versions for the New Product Launch

The main film can retain the complete character journey from work to cycling and then evening time together, while shorter edits can separately extract four moments: raising the phone to record, activity in the shop, setting off by bicycle and the indoor resolution. Landscape format is suitable for showing spatial relationships, while vertical format can enlarge hand operations and phone close-ups. Product-information or subtitle versions can control the pace separately. This supports the narrative expression of a new smartphone advertisement while also making it easy to develop content units for social media, launch events and e-commerce pages.
