A conversational lead agent needs a clear handoff to the team that will answer the enquiry. TikTok's October 2026 announcement describes a Lead Agent using brand-approved information to qualify and capture leads. Before using an available tool, decide what it may answer and what must reach a person.

Connect creative promises to approved answers

List the statements made in the advertisement: product availability, service scope, timing or a quoted offer. Give the answering team approved information for each statement and a clear way to identify its current version. If the advertisement changes, review the corresponding answers before the new creative runs.

Mark questions that require a person, such as an unconfirmed production date or a quotation that depends on specifications. An automated reply should not improvise a commitment simply because the creative invited the question.

Ask only what helps the next conversation

Choose the information the receiving team needs to make a useful response. For a production enquiry, this might include the product, intended deliverables, destination and launch date. Explain why contact details are requested and use the tool's applicable consent and privacy controls.

Keep missing information visibly unresolved. A visitor who selected a general service category has not necessarily confirmed a budget, authority to commission or a purchase decision. Qualification should help a person respond, not convert guesses into customer facts.

Give the enquiry a responsible owner

Specify who receives it, where it arrives and when someone should review it. Pass the visitor's question, approved offer version, supplied requirements, contact-consent status and any unanswered issue. Test a sample handoff before release so the receiving person can find both the enquiry and its context.

Review fallback behaviour when an answer is unavailable or a transfer fails. The visitor should know what happens next. Keep sensitive free-text information out of unnecessary reports and restrict access according to the actual business process.

Evaluate the stages separately

  • A conversation started.
  • A contact request was submitted with the relevant permission.
  • The receiving team accepted the handoff.
  • A person confirmed a usable requirement.
  • The commercial process produced a quotation or order.

These are different outcomes. An agent's captured contact does not establish revenue. For creative and enquiry-path planning, see ONCE's production services, or share the intended advertisement and sales process.
